On the last day of the last week of the last month of the year 2011, Scott and Sam exchanged vows under big, sprawling trees in front of all their closest family and friends. Their deep love and true friendship was evident to everyone present, including my own husband and I. It's always a wonderful feeling to capture two people on the most happiest day of their lives- the day they married their very best friend. Scott and Sam, thank you for choosing use us to share this amazing day with you two!
Samantha got ready at her home with her sisters, friends, mom and grandmother. Her dress was handmade for her by her grandmother. How sweet is that?
She wore her grandmother's pearls. I love, love, love details like this.
Scott and Sam shared an intimate first look at their ceremony and reception location, at the Long Key Nature Center.Long Key Nature Center's winding paths, mature trees and greenery provided a beautiful backdrop for some portraits of Scott and Sam.
Samantha's twin sister and maid of honor, Shannon, decided instead of going the traditional route of delivering a speech (usually full of tears and emotion), she would do what she does best- and sang a hilarious parody of "I Will Survive", expressing her mixed feelings of happiness and sadness at "losing" her dear sister, and yet, reassured all present that she will, in fact, survive. It was so funny I could barely do my job of documenting such an awesome moment.
A very cute detail I want to point out from this wedding-they printed up little mini-coloring books and left them on guest tables that had children along with a few sets of crayons. So thoughtful, and a big hit with the kiddies! Not to mention it made for a great way to feature their wedding rings!
Congrats, you two!
