Traveling is something that my husband and I love to do. We plan on doing as much of it as we can, while our circumstances allow us to. This will be the first in a series of posts highlighting some of our recent adventures. Last September we made a trip out to Oregon to re-connect with family and to see this beautiful part of the country. Since before I was born, my family has been making this trip annually. This year, though, was special, because it was the first time Jared had been to Oregon, and we were able to experience it together with my family as a married couple.
Our first stop after our looooonnng flight was for some authentic dim sum in Portland's chinatown.
Afterwards we spent some time perusing the riverside.
Some interesting finds in my aunt and uncle's backyard.
Downtown Albany, Oregon, where a lot of my family, including my Grandfather lives.
This small cabin on the coast has been a family getaway for over 25 years! And yet we never get tired of it :)
Crater Lake. One of the most beautiful sights you could hope to see in America. We were so fortunate to get such an awesome, clear day, and yet, our photos do not do it justice. Put this place on your bucket list.
Us Floridians really cannot resist pulling over and horsing around in the patch of "snow" found on the side of the road.
I have the cutest cousins ever!
As many times as we've been to this great state, we had never been to the Portland Zoo, despite my non stop requests on every trip. It just never seemed to work out. This past trip, I got my wish!
What trip would be complete without a late night trip to the hotel's indoor pool?
Stay tuned, up next will be a post on our almost immediate trip we took after Oregon to the windy city!
