Jovan and Katie exchanged vows, with all their friends and family present, under a tree, on a beautiful South Florida afternoon. This may seem simple enough, but, it's not. This wedding was special and ridiculously cool for me for several reasons:
1. I got to shoot alongside one of my favorite photographers, Jamie May from Mayfly Photography, who was also my own wedding photographer. This is very cool.
2. Jovan and Katie own their own business, Unearthed Vintage, specializing in all things vintage. They used their own inventory for their wedding. Mismatched china, chairs, suitcases, typewriters, sofas, coffee tables, cake stands, jars, coffee cans with neat little plants in them...I can't even name it all. I'm all over that. Check them out on Facebook here.
3. There was a canoe filled with beer. Self-explanatory.
So in light of the many, many, amazing details we had fun capturing, there will be a lot of details highlighted in this post. Here we go!
Jovan and Katie provided cool drinks for their guests to enjoy while waiting for the ceremony to begin.
They chose to do a first look, which I always recommend doing! Make for some amazing, emotional moments that are only for the bride and groom to enjoy.
Finally, it was time to get married. Their ceremony was sweet, heartfelt, and happy.
Why is it that rings never seem to fit when it's time to exchange them?
Okay folks. Hold onto your hats, because it's time for the details! All this and more is available for rent from Unearthed Vintage.
Looking at all this fabulous table decor has probably made you hungry. So, on to the desserts! Most of the yummy goodies you see here were baked up by Katie, along with Jovan's mom, including the cake pops. Kristin over at Cloud 9 Bakery and Cafe in Miami made the mountain of chocolate chip cookie goodness you see below as well as the cupcakes! Everything was scrumptious. I would know, because they were very generous and shared their desserts with us. What campground wedding is complete without smores? Vintage sofas placed around the campgrounds made for nice hang out spots for their guests. A canoe filled with ice-cold brewskis was a beautiful sight to behold. They played "Casablanca" on a big screen. Could this get any cooler? I think not. Katie and Jovan shared their first dance on the checkered dance floor, under warmly lit lanterns, while their friends and family waved sparklers. The very special father-daughter dance. Jovan and Katie, your wedding day was beautiful and very special. We had an awesome time! Big thanks to everyone involved in this amazing day!
